Should you be using Outlook/Office 2007, then we recommend installing Service Pack 2 for Office 2007. It resolves many issues, some of them impacting performance while using interWaysMAIL. Please see Microsoft Support for details: Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2 Download
If your Outlook installation stops synchronising data, then please do the following (please take care to keep your server mailbox below 200-300MB in size, as this minimises sync problems):
Please back up your data by performing a full export in Outlook before continuing!
- Close Outlook and restart the computer.
- Open Outlook and leave it open for 30-60 minutes.
- If that does not correct the problem, then proceed
- Perform a full backup of all your Outlook data by clicking on File-->Import/Export and exporting all folders into a .pst file which you store on your PC or a backup medium.
- Close Outlook and wait for a few minutes for all processes to close.
- Find the file Zimbra.zdb and delete it. In Windows Vista, this file is usually under: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\, in XP under C:\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\.
- Open Outlook. Outlook shoud now start importing the data from the server. This may take some time, depending on your mailbox size.
If that does not work either, then
- click on Start-->Settings-->Mail-->Show Profiles and delete the profile called "Zimbra".
- Click on Start-->Settings-->Software (in Vista: Programs) and remove "Zimbra Outlook Connector".
- Restart the PC.
- Install the Outlook Connector again.
- Now Outlook should start syncing your data back from the server. This may take some time.
